Install the Chrome extension
Add it from the store, send it your resume, and turn on the score for one job site. Also: how to install it on a work or school computer that blocks the store.
Two minutes to install, and one step afterwards that the install does not do for you.
1. Add it
- Open the extension screen while signed in.
- Press Add to Chrome and confirm the browser dialog.
- Pin it to the toolbar so the popup is one click away.
2. Sync a resume into it
Come back to Involve, signed in, and add your resume. A green "extension synced" badge shows the extension now has its own copy.
That is all the setup. There is no second sign-in and no code to paste. The extension picks up your sign-in from involveresume.com (and from no other site), and then asks our server what your plan includes.
So your plan always comes from our server, not from the web page. Nobody can change it by typing commands into the browser.
3. Turn the score on for one board
Open a job posting on a board you use, open the popup, and press Show my match score here. Chrome asks for that one site inside the click.
From then on, every job ad on that site shows the same score the website gives it. When you first install it, the extension works on no job site at all. It does not act on a site until you allow it.
If the store is blocked on your machine
Computers run by universities and big employers often block the Chrome Web Store. For that case, the extension screen has a zip file you can download.
- Download the zip and unzip it somewhere permanent. If you delete the folder, the extension goes with it.
- Open the browser's extensions page.
- Turn on developer mode.
- Choose Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
A copy installed this way does not update itself, so you would be repeating this on every release. Use the store if the machine lets you.

Questions about this
Which browsers does it work in?
Chrome, Edge, Brave and other browsers built on Chrome, from Chrome version 111 onwards. One store page covers all of them.
Does the extension have its own login?
No. It uses the sign-in you already have on involveresume.com. It only reads that on involveresume.com, and nowhere else. It will never ask you for a password.
My employer blocks the Chrome Web Store.
Download the zip from the extension screen and load it unpacked with developer mode on. A copy installed that way does not update itself.

Scan, Build and Apply, Pro Max, or a campus licence. The extension window tells you, with a button to the pricing page.
Send it your resume before you close the tab
Without a copy of your resume, the extension cannot score or fill anything. This is the step people forget.
