Your data, and how to delete it
What is held, what never leaves your browser, the two buttons that download or delete all of it, and what the extension keeps on your machine.
People often mix up two questions: what we keep on our server, and what stays on your own computer. They have different answers and different buttons.
What stays in your browser
Reading your resume, scoring it, tailoring it, checking for made-up words and making the file all happen in your browser tab. The file you upload is never sent anywhere.
Four buttons reach a model, not one: the sentence rewriter, which sends the lines being rewritten; the message redraft; the extension's application preparation, which sends the posting and your own evidence lines; and translating your resume, which sends every sentence of the body, because that is what translating a resume is. The full table of what each one sends is on the privacy page. If you never press those buttons, no data about you is sent to a model.
Saving is different from sending text to an AI model. When you are signed in, we save the text of your main resume to your account as soon as you add it. When you download or approve a tailored resume, we save it as text too. We keep your main resume and up to ten tailored versions, each with the job it was for. To see them, open Resume, then Resumes you have made. You can delete any tailored one there, and it is really gone. Your main resume is removed with Delete everything, below.
What is held on the account
- Your email address and name.
- A rough outline of your career, used to choose which jobs and which wording fit you.
- Your applications, tracker rows and their stages.
- Answers you typed to form questions, so we do not ask you twice.
- Documents you chose to save to your library.
The two buttons
Both are on the account screen, under "Your data".

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Export the tracker first if you want the record of what you sent.
You can also delete a single saved document, a single tracked job or a single answer, at any time, without deleting the rest.
On your own machine
The extension keeps a copy of your resume and your saved answers on your computer, so it can fill in forms quickly. Forget everything, at the bottom of the extension window, clears both from that computer. To stop the extension on a website, remove that site's permission on your browser's extensions page.
Those are separate from the account. Clearing one does not clear the other.
Cancelling is not deleting
Cancelling a subscription stops the payments and keeps everything, on the free plan. Deleting removes your data. You can do them in any order. But if you delete first, cancel too, because deleting your data does not stop a subscription with our payment provider.

Is my resume uploaded?
The file is not. Code in your browser reads it, scores it, tailors it and turns it into a PDF or Word file. The text is different: once you are signed in, we save the text of your resume to your account, and the text of each tailored version you approve or download. That way you can open them on another computer. You can delete it on the account screen.
Can I get a copy of everything?
Yes. Download everything, on the account screen, returns what is held about you.
Is deletion reversible?
No. It is immediate and cannot be undone, so export your tracker first if you want a record of what you sent.
How do I clear what the extension holds?
Press Forget everything, at the bottom of the extension window. It removes the copy of your resume and your saved answers from that computer.
